I’ve noticed that when I move a plugin from a post-fader slot to a pre-fader slot on my master bus, the automation associated with that plugin is lost. Is this normal behavior? Is there a way to preserve the automation when shifting between these slots?

Same happens when you move it to any slot. I just copy the data first then paste.
