Moving flows

Hello,

I was curious if it is possible to move flow 2 in the image attached into the empty space next to flow 1 on top in engrave mode? I know how to re-add flows in engrave mode, but was curious if it is possible to just move them? Thanks.

Yes, it’s possible.

  • Resize the Music Frame.
  • Add a new Music Frame.
  • Set the frame chain in the top left popup menu of the new frame to MA.
  • Insert a Frame Break in the first bar of the second flow.
  • Resize and move the new frame.

thanks that worked! So basically when I resized the music frame, I had multiple flows in there- when I resize it and just show the first flow, the other flows just disappear?

The DTP-ish way to lay out pages is very versatile.

It depends on how the flows are assigned to the frames and how the frames are chained to each other.

Just remember that if you want to do this on multiple pages, you should set the frames up as you want them on the page template. Then it’s done for every page.

thanks, I am trying to watch the Dorico video on how to make a worksheet, but it’s from 6 years ago and Dorico 5 is way different, I’ll keep looking.
