Hi, I would like to report on an issue. I recently moved from Cubase 12 to Cubase 14. This problem does not exist in Cubase 12 in which the behvior is just fine. So here we go: I’m working with an audio track, in the project window, and I work with the audio track lanes. I moved a bunch of lanes up (by selecting them and dragging them up). Then I did some work (e.g., deleted some events from the lanes that are in the upper part of the multi-lane track display, and legitimately got to the state shown in Screenshot#1. Then, I selected lanes 7,8,9,10, and 11 (the selection is reflected also in screenshot#1) and dreagged them down so lanes 7-11 will be positioned after lane 6. As a result, the lanes moved, but not as expected - see Screenshot#2. I would’ve obviously expected them to move as “one group” and not be located in a “zebra” manner as you could see in screenshot#2. I’m manipulating the lanes position a lot (I have my own “style”/”technique” of doing comps), and in that respect. this is extremely problematic for my workflow.
EDIT: At least in my very specific project that is currently open, the problem occurs with dragging “down” a bunch of lanes. Dragging “up” seem to work fine. I can’t say this observation is a scientific truth… If it is true then at least I have a (pretty awkward) workaround…
Thanks!
Erez
