Yeah, exactly, and it’s not. I don’t know why there’s an issue. Maybe if I put both instruments on the same channel or something it’ll work itself out, I’m only using it as an aid to hear the notes together, it’s fine if it’s all piano.

Just writing to say that it’s now happened on a second project of mine.
And, now I’m writing to say that changing the channel the chord is playing from solved it. I.e., piano from channel 2 and chords from channel 2 makes the whole channel mute when I change something in channel 1.
In case someone has a similar issue, put the chord playback on a different channel to your instruments and the problem should go away. I had melody on channel 1 and the chord playback and piano on channel 2 which muted the piano everytime I changed something in the melody. Changing the chord playback to channel 3 fixed it.
