I know it’s not the end of the world, but when moving midi notes or events with the left mouse button, right after you click, hold and move the note/event it makes this tiny horizontal “jump” before it settles into place.
Version 14 and 13 does the same.
When resizing notes/events (from the left/right edge) it acts normal, smooth and without “jumping”.
Do I understand the Snap is disabled on your side? Can you confirm this behavior from the Info Line (so can you really see the values are different before and after the mouse-release)?
Also, the Info Line information doesn’t seem to take into account when you drag an event/note - only after releasing the mouse button (when moving things).
A quick update. This still happens in Cubase 15 Pro. It happens in 100% DPI and higher (Windows 10 Pro). It happens when using a mouse and a Wacom tablet.
Is this normal behavior in Cubase?
Also, since I can’t edit the title of my topic, it should have been called:
Moving parts or events makes a tiny horizontal “jump”
@Martin.Jirsak I’m still not quite sure what you meant by your latest reply.
EDIT: Thanks for editing the topic title. I just learned - thanks to @Johnny_Moneto - that a part is the correct term here. I used to call partsevents, which was wrong.
“but when moving midi notes or events with the left mouse” ← should have been midi parts, instead. But technically it happens with other types of parts and events, as well (not just midi).
Also, not sure if it matters, but my resolution is 1080p.
And the jumps are most noticeable when you click and drag slowly - at least on my PC. I’m still not sure if anyone else experiences this.
