Moving user techniques to new machine

Just sitting down to work after building a new PC. I’m thinking about how to hide patching directions that are implemented as playing techniques. For instance, things that are self-evident to musicians like divisi strings, where the audio is routed to two separate channels and needs to be told.

Anyway, I was looking for my techniques (group 1, desk 1, player 1 etc.) and they aren’t listed in the new PC’s techniques list, so I am wondering if there is a way to import the library?

If you saved them to your user library on your original machine, you should copy the Dorico 4 folder from the user-level application data folder on that machine to the corresponding location on your new one.

Is this the right place?
C:\Users<user>\AppData\Local\Steinberg\Dorico
On the new PC it contains cache\qmlcache

Tried that, and no change.

I see that the Roaming folder has a lot more in it. So just copy the whole of that?

The folder is %APPDATA%\Steinberg\Dorico 4, unless I’m much mistaken (I don’t use Windows often, so I may be misremembering, but hopefully somebody will correct me if I am).

OK Daniel, that translated to the roaming folder, which contains this:

So I’ll try that now.

Yes, that worked! Thanks Daniel
