Moving voices

I copied a melody that appears in the red voice (Layer 2 in Finale) for certain measures and in the blue voice (Layer 1 in Finale) for other measures. This happened because I originally wrote the melody using different layers in Finale, and those layers were preserved when I imported the file into Dorico.

This will cause problems later when I add lyrics, since the notes belong to different layers. How can I move the red voice notes into the blue voice so that the entire melody is in the same layer (Blue Voice, Layer 1) and uses the same voice color in Dorico?

Try this:

Select all your notes and make into Up-stem Voice 1.

Does that work?

You can change the voice by selecting it (preferably using a filter) and hitting the v key.

The idea is to use the filter to select what you want to change.
Once you have the selection change the voice by hitting v.
Of course you could also use the command >Voice>Change Voice, but using the V-key is much faster..
