Moving VST3 location on SSD

I have a new PC with an SSD system drive (super fast boot) and as Cubase is one of my most used programs, it is also installed on the SSD. However I do not want to use up my precious C:drive space on VSTs. I have moved the VST2 plugins locations to my another, old-school hard drive but there seems to be no way to change the location of the VST3 plugins? This means that I am avoiding using VST3 which can’t have been Steinberg’s intention I assume.

Is there a way to do this? I don’t particularly care how the VST3 plugins are organised, just what drive they live on.

Content is what you’d want to move to other drives, not the VST’s themselves.
