I just bought a MOXF8. I downloaded the Steinberg USB Audio driver, but it fails to install, with no explanation. If I go to device manager … Steinberg USB Audio … I see:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
I tried various USB connectors on my system.
Compounding the issue is I normally use a KVM switcher (to switch keyboard, mouse, and monitor between two computers), and just connecting the MOXF8 USB to one of the computer’s back panel USB ports disables the keyboard and mouse. Connecting it to one of the top USB ports doesn’t interfere with the keyboard and mouse, but it ends up failing to install with that same error code 10.
