MP3 codec Question

Hi folks…

I run N 4 and N 5, WL6 & WL7 on a secondary system that also holds Cubase Elements 6.
With Cubase Elements 6 you get a 14 days limited test period of its MP3 export feature.
After that you are no longer able to export to the mp3 format.

My Question: ist there any possibility to use one of the MP3 codecs of the other major SB programs?
I do not want to spend ~15 Euro on a MP3 codec when I have a bunch of those on real expensive SB
software already on the machine.

I guess you could copy a codec from a component folder around, but it will need the eLicenser to use it, so it’s pointless. Anyway, there are some free programs for that.
