I switched from windows 11 to a Mac mini M4 about 4 months ago. I am unable to find a way to have the sustain pedal work properly in Cubase 14 Pro. I stopped the sustain pedal muting but I am unable to have it sustain. I also copied the script and saved it edited like I did for windows but still no sustain.
Hi and welcome to the forum,
Most probably, you are using MPK249 as a Mackie Control device in Cubase. The MIDI CC64 (Sustain Pedal) is mapped to Mute Channel 1 (of the given bank).
So, you can choose one of the following solutions:
- Set the MIDI Input Port of the Mackie Control to None (stop using Mackie Control).
- Ensure that the MIDI Input Port of the Mackie Control is not set to All MIDI Inputs, but it’s set to the MPK249 Control port (sorry, I don’t know the exact name).
- Ensure the Sustain Pedal is not routed to the same MIDI Port.
I am not using the MPK249 as a Mackie Control device.
Hi,
Do you use it as any kind of Remote Device?
Yes.
It shows properly in Cubase and all other controls map properly.
Hi,
Do you use the device as any kind of Remote Device in Cubase, please? If yes, what kind of?
