Hi guys… I see this card has dedicated I/O channel for hooking up external device…
Is it possible to hook up a analog compressor (like dbx160a) and choose to record the
microphone with the processed sound or without it. Whats the procedure of connecting?

to insert external compressor use the insert on ch 1 and 2.
it will record the compressed signal .
u need a “Y” cable for the insert in MR device,and connect it to the compressor.
Or, just set up your compressor as an external FX using a line in and line out from the 816.You can then send any signal to it.
