Multi-bar rests division

Hello, I am not sure why Dorico is not including single measures to adjacent multi-bar rests. See below example of measure 24-38.

I would like mm. 24-29 to be a multi-bar rest of 6 and mm. 30 through 36 to be a multi-bar rest of 7. Is it the rehearsal number 30 that is preventing this? So a multi-bar rest of 6 followed by a multi-bar rest of 7 with rehearsal number 30 between them is what I am after. There are no items in the single measure rests (29 and 30) that I can see would prevent them from being included in the multi-bar rests. I have a number of parts with this issue so a global setting/fix would be great if one exists.

There’s most likely something in those bars, even if it’s not apparent. Do you have signposts showing? (And if not, please turn them on and see if there’s anything in those bars.)

Or if you can upload your project here, someone can take a look at it.

You are correct. I just discovered it when I turned on signposts. There was a “dummy” time signature in there that once deleted, allowed them to automatically combine. Not sure why those signatures were in there; this was an xml import from either Sibelius or Finale. Thanks for the help

It’s not unusual for XML imports to have extraneous data.
