Multi-bar rests in some flows not others

Hi Forum;
HELP!
In the middle of a big academic project. I have a project which needs multi-bar rests for some flows using a 1-line staff and NO multi-bar rests for other flows using a treble staff.
I cannot find a way to do this via Layout Options/Players/Bar Rests and Multi-bar Rests.
Is this possible?

You can break a multibar rest by adding a chord symbol region (or a midi trigger region).
