Multi-key (sequence) commands!

I’ve just discovered that you can assign a sequence of up to four keys for a single key command. Folks, that’s a game-changer! Funny thing is, it doesn’t appeared to be clearly documented (at least I couldn’t find it, and therefor never knew). For me as a Finale for Windows user, it effectively replaces the need for the menu “drill-down sequences” I’'ve used in the past.

For example, programming Ctrl-F, D as “Filter/All dynamics” Or Ctrl-F, S as “Filter/Slurs”. My point is it increases exponentially the availability of logical key commands you can utilize in Dorico.

I agree.

You can also do this for Jump Bar Alias commands: these are amazing!! e.g. I have gd assigned to Group Dynamics and so all I need to do is select the dynamics and then press jgd (the j is to open the Jump Bar).

Yep, I have all my Filter commands programmed similarly. I find this is useful for Beaming commands too:
