Multi measure rests

My parts are showing 2 single bars rest and then fourteen in a MM. How can I fix this?
I am a convert from Finale and gradually getting it together.

I don’t know if this screenshot will work!

I guess that the whole rests in the bars 137 and 138 are explicit rests. Try to delete them

No, they won’t delete. There are other things going on in these bars, so I think the problem must be in the score. It is happening in other parts with the same rests.

The two single bar rests appear because they are not “empty”; there’s “bridge” and “f” . Try to input ‘bridge’ and f ( dynamic) at the last beat before the double barline. Then move them to the desired position in engrave mode.

The forte belongs to the line above I suppose.

Maybe the f belongs to the system above; we can’t see the attachment lines. Also “bridge “ could be attached to the 2nd bar after the double barline… If we get the Dorico project, we can be sure….

@kingrkn, make sure that signposts are visible (View > Signposts > Hide Signposts should be deactivated), in case there is something hidden at bars 138 and 139 that is causing the multi-bar rest to split there.

As suggested by @Carlovanderput, if you can’t figure it out, the best way to resolve the issue is to attach the project itself, so we can take a look.

Thanks everyone. As soon as I activated the signposts I saw that I had played around with the time signature at those two bars earlier. When I got rid of those unneccesary time changes it all came good. I am slowly getting better at Dorico and quite enjoying learning more all the time. Thanks again
