Multi-Monitor Shortcut Issues and CMC-PD Not Responding in Cubase 15

2. Description

I am experiencing two problems in Cubase 15 that do not occur in Cubase 14 on the same system.

(A) Steinberg CMC-PD

  • In Cubase 15, the Steinberg CMC-PD does not respond at all.

  • In Cubase 14, it functions perfectly with the exact same setup.

  • The Steinberg CC121 works normally in both Cubase 14 and 15.

  • MIDI Remote also works without any issues.

(B) Multi-Monitor Window Movement Shortcuts

I am using three monitors.
When I attempt to move the Cubase window between monitors using standard Windows shortcuts:

  • Shift + Win + →

  • Shift + Win + ←

the Cubase window sometimes stops halfway across a monitor or
only the top part remains visible.

This issue also affects Win + ↑ (maximize).

These shortcuts work normally in Cubase 14 and in all other applications.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Launch Cubase 15 on a three-monitor setup.

  2. Open the main Cubase window.

  3. Press Shift + Win + → repeatedly to move the window across monitors.

  4. Observe that the window stops midway or only partially displays.

  5. Connect Steinberg CMC-PD and confirm that it does not respond.

  6. Perform the same tests in Cubase 14 — everything works normally.

3. Expected Result

  • Multi-monitor shortcuts (Shift + Win + → / ←, Win + ↑) should move the Cubase window correctly across all monitors.

  • The Steinberg CMC-PD should respond normally, as it does in Cubase 14.

  • Behavior should match Cubase 14 and other Windows applications.

4. Actual Result

  • In Cubase 15, the Cubase window stops midway or appears only partially when moved between monitors with Windows shortcuts.

  • The Steinberg CMC-PD does not respond at all.

  • Cubase 14 works perfectly under the same conditions.

  • Other applications also show no issues with these shortcuts.

5. Environment

  • OS: Windows 11

  • Monitors: 3-monitor setup

  • Hardware:

    • Steinberg CMC-PD (not working in Cubase 15)

    • Steinberg CC121 (works in both 14 and 15)

  • DAW:

    • Cubase 14 (no issues)

    • Cubase 15 (issues described above)
