As you can see from this segment of a part, sometimes Dorico is showing multibar rests but not always. I’m sure I’ve made some kind of mistake, but I don’t know where to begin looking for what I’ve done wrong.
The empty measures are, in fact, empty as best as I can tell. Any thoughts about why these particular measures are not being condensed into a multibar rest?

It looks like you have a chord symbol region(?) over bars 36-45. That will break the multirest.
Hmm… Yes, Dorico was splitting up the Fl 1 (Picc.) and Fl 2 parts in the Conductor’s Score in a weird way. Is there a way to leave the Chord Symbol Region in place for the Conductor’s Score, but remove it from the part?
I don’t think so.
Just reading between the lines here - are you using the chord symbol region to ensure that the chord symbols are always above the top stave in the score, no matter what it is? If that’s the case, see the Staves and Systems page of Layout Options, on which you will find a ‘Chord Symbols’ section, with an option to show chord symbols ‘Above top staff of system’.
