Can anyone help with this? Is it possible to add multi-measure rests selectively? For example, can I group a 16-bar multi-measure rest as two sections of 8-bar rests? Also, can I have multi-measure rests in one part of the score but not another? I’m sure there is a way to do this, but I can’t figure it out. Thanks!
You need to add something in the 9th measure to break the rest. The easiest is probably to add Staff Text and just put a space in it.
Do you mean within the same layout? Showing multi-bar rests is a per-layout setting, so if you wanted to avoid them in one part of a layout, I think you’d have to add something in each bar, as above. Edit: See below answers; creating a chord symbol region is the solution here.
