Multiple floating MixConsole windows still a thing in Cubase 15

I’m not sure if or when this was taken out but I can’t seem to find where you can “activate” or “call up” the 2 and 3rd MixConsole windows.

I found the first floating MixConsole (default F3 key) easily enough and I know there’s one that is permanently docked in the track / project window but I don’t want anything eating up my vertical track space.

In the previous version I used (Cubase 5, yeah I know super old but I will always take stability off line over new and networked) I had the ability to call up 3 MixConsole windows each with a specific purpose for quick reference and work flow.

Q. Is this no longer a feature?

Q2. If it is where might I be able to find the setting? (I didn’t find it in the key commands)

Q3. If this is not available has this been replaced with that awful drop down preset / custom view menu?

Thank you in advance for any help.

More unnecessary info -

My preferred view was set over 3 monitors originally now over 2 fairly large monitors. I set one to my primary track / project window then bring up the 3 mixers one being all my inputs with the meters above the faders, the other being my playback faders and meters when tracking, and the third being my group buses, effect returns, outboard gear sends and master fader.

This set up allows for me to see all stages of the process quickly and allows for quick rough mixing between tracking especially when tracking by myself as I am able to easily distinguish between corresponding input and output meters from behind the kit across the studio.

Unnecessary rant -

This will be very disappointing to find out that I’ve jumped 10 versions only to find out it’s less useful to my particular situation.
I am already not liking the change in the floating transport window. The old one was easy to grab and move where it was needed now this skinny transport window gets lost in the black on black window behind it and it’s grab points are WAY too small unless you use the edge by the close button.

It’s under the “Studio” tab.

You can still access the floating transport panel under “Transport” tab, then press “Transport Panel”. You can then hide the docked Transport Bar from the little gear icon in the upper right corner and uncheck Transport Bar. Colours can be customized as well.

Yes, that is where the 1st MixConsole window is found with it’s relevant quick key, as well as the other bound / docked mixconsole window, but what isn’t there is mixconsole window 2 or 3.

Maybe this is only and option in the pro and not the artist?

Yes sir I did find it, I was just being grumpy about it’s size. The color change option is good to know, thank you.

According to this page Compare Cubase – Find the Right Version for You | Steinberg the artist version can’t have simultaneous mixer views.

Well bummer, that’s what I was afraid of.

Thanks YamenFahham, I appreciate the help

Try increasing the Application Scaling in the User Interface section in preferences, that might help.

Sure!
