Multiple glitches with Halion Sonic. Help please!

I’ve been having multiple problems when using Halion Sonic with Cubase 6. I am using Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2.
The problems include:

  • Stilted playback and notes dropping out or cutting short when using Halion Sonic instruments.
  • Bursts of static during playback.
  • Bursts of instrument ‘thuds’ even for a few seconds AFTER I have pushed ‘Stop’ in Cubase.

I have tried re-installing both Cubase 6 and Halion Sonic.
I am only running three Halion Sonic instruments simultaneously.

Please help me.

Sounds more like an audio interface issue than anything else.

Thank you for your suggestion but I don’t think it is the audio interface because all of my audio tracks play well but my midi tracks (through Halion Sonic) do not.

The bigger question for me is why Halion Sonic midi notes aren’t playing when they’re supposed to. The notes cut short and sometimes only one or two notes from a chord actually play.

Am I the only one in the world who has had this problem?
Desperate to hear from anyone who has managed to sort this.

Try updating your OS to version 10.7.4.
