Multiple markers moving / .mrk - feature requests

Hi, we’ve been using Wavelab for many years, and even developed our own custom tools to enhance the workflow. These tools depended on the .mrk files, which we manipulated externally, as well as copied and renamed to apply markers across multiple tracks.

Since Wavelab 9 seems to have done away with ,mrk files our tools will no longer work.

One of the main features we externally added was the moving of multiple markers (just like the new feature you had added), but we had another element there that would be VERY helpful if you would add in Wavelab 9 as well.
When moving multiple region markers, let’s say the region end markers, some of them might cross over the region start markers of the next region, rendering the whole thing useless. In our external tool, we were able to forbid the end markers to cross over start markers, and even were able to define how much distance should be kept between an end marker and the start marker after it. This is extremely helpful to have.

So the two questions I have are these:

Will you please enable the creation of .mrk files even from Wavelab 9?
If not, will you please make it possible to copy all markers from one file to other files (batch) and add that exception to the multiple marker moving dialog?

Thanks!
Yuval

Hi,

Have you checked !?

File > Preferences > Audio Files > File

and toggle the option for “Write Markers in Separate File”

I think it’s strange if .mrk is not working !?

Will you please enable the creation of .mrk files even from Wavelab 9

As S-EH mentioned, there are still available.

When moving multiple region markers, let’s say the region end markers, some of them might cross over the region start markers of the next region, rendering the whole thing useless.

Do you mean, this happens when copying markers to a file that already has markers? (else, how the cross could happen?)
