Multiple parts for one instrument

Hi,

I do a lot of engraving for Hal Leonard for windband, fanfare & brassband.
A lot of instruments need multiple transposed parts (i.e. Euphonium in C, Bes, in both F clef and G clef).

How do I make multiple parts from 1 ‘player’ (or how should I organise my instruments to be able to get multiple transposed parts)?

Thanks!

Peter

Create a new part layout, assign the existing instrument to it, then right-click on the part layout and use the Clefs and Transposition Overrides dialog.

Thanks! REALLY helpful! Have a nice day!

Hi! I’m trying to create multiple trombone parts.
I have the original C part in Bass clef. But I also need the Bb part in Bass Clef and the Bb part in Treble Cleff.
I duplicated and applied Clefs and Transposition override for the Bass Clef: no problem!
Than I duplicated and applied the same and chose Treble Clef: does not work!!! What am I doing wrong??

a) is the part layout definitely set to transposed pitch?

b) is the bass clef at the start of the flow explicit, i.e. can you select it in Write mode? If so, that will take precedence over your clef override. You should delete it.
