Multiple windows automatically sync

In my Dorico project with multiple flows some flows are sketches/drats, others are embryonic movements in the finished work.

Typically I’m using control-shift T to have :

  • one draft
  • one embryonic movement
    in view simultaneously.

However, by design, Dorico tends to automatically sync my two windows together so that each window shows the same content. This happens always when I press ‘play’ but also happens for other reasons which I don’t understand
I could clear the “When switching to play mode bring selection to view” flag. Unfortunately I rely on that flag to get my selections into view.

A great solution would be to a shortcut key that “brings selection to view”, particularly if that only applied in the window in which it was clicked. But does such a key exist?

My current ‘work round’ is to export the draft flow to a separate temp project - suggestions as to better workflows much appreciated. :slightly_smiling_face:

Switch off the Follow playhead option in the status bar at the bottom of the project window if you don’t want it to move to a different area during playback in another window.

You can assign a key command to the command Center Selection in the View category on the Key Commands page of Preferences.

is what I was looking for . Thank you
