Oddly enough, I never listen to the radio or other media. I have melodies and riffs going through my mind 24/7. 
My chain on these collab tunes was Les Paul, through my Marshall, line out to the DAW.

I’m a bit concerned about the freq spectrum on this… maybe I shouldn’t be. The drums sound nice and open, but the guitars sound somewhat cold. It might be an mp3 thing. It might be a darker reverb on the guitars. It’s also largely panned center thru much of the song – nothing really wrong with that, but it results in the solo guitar fighting with the rhythm guitar. But if I recall these are finished mixes you’re posting, so no bother – still sounds good
