Music Fonts: no argue about taste, just curious

You can mix and match music fonts and elements if you choose. I use Bravura noteheads, but Sebastian sharps and naturals for example. (Those are changed in Tonality Systems not Music Symbols.) In any case, you can customize your appearance if you prefer glyphs from varying fonts.

After almost 30 years with Finale’s Maestro font, I printed a page of piano music with each of Dorico’s 12 provided music fonts. My wife and I like that Bravura is bolder than Maestro, but it seems a bit too bulky. Our quick assessment came up with Sebastian as a favorite. It makes Maestro look a little wimpy without getting bulky. I especially like the larger dots on notes, which many of the older studio players have mentioned need to stand out more. For now, my choice is Sebastian.
