I need to input the lyrics “Eraamor di” as regular staff text, but there’s a slur-like shape between the aa. What should I use to input this in the music text?
That would be one of the elision characters, in the Lyrics group.
If you’re inputting this as staff text to label a section of music, or to give a vocal cue, I think you can probably leave the character out and just show the text as “Era amor di”; the point of the elision is to show a singer that two syllables get sung on one note, so it doesn’t have much meaning when the text is by itself.
