Oh… so you’re not actually interested in any export of MusicXML from MuseScore Studio, imported into Dorico… I was literally responding to that part of your post. It read like it was a ‘concern’…
For what it’s worth, I haven’t encountered any problems with MusicXML files exported from MuseScore Studio 4.5, though of course that version is brand new so there hasn’t been much time for any problems to emerge.
That said, if you have a MusicXML file that you can’t import into Dorico, no matter which application it came from, please zip it up and attach it here so we can take a look at the problem.
I did already, as I told you in my post .. and still crashed Dorico,.. anyway
List of your fonts are mixed
and some symbols might not be correct as well on my end
so that might be different with Daniel’s machine .. who might have all the fonts
Hi Daniel,
Thank you for getting back to me!
I attach the compressed and “normal” XML files.
Of course, it seems the file is corrupted due to all the subtuplets- but it would be good to have a fix given this must be an issue not only for me…
It opens ok in MuseScore.
Please keep me updated on what you find!

Hi Janus,
Thanks for this. I can guarantee in the PDF score that there are few (if any) incomplete bars. This is likely a difficulty with Finale/ Dorico parsing out the many nested tuplets in the piece.
However these rhythms likely haven’t made the XML export any easier…
Brandon
Yes. The Finale exporter cannot do the correct calculations. There is a way to cure these errors in MuseScore, but it is painstaking.
