Mute a Clip/Section

In a DAW, you can mute a section of a piece (MIDI or audio); for example, mute the flutes for bars 9-32.

Is there a similar function in Dorico? I know I can go to the mixer and turn off one or more instruments, but it would be helpful to do this temporarily just for a specific range of bars as I test different arrangement ideas.

Thank you.

It’s a bit clunky, but you could select the notes to mute and use the suppress playback property (I can’t recall if you have to filter for notes and chords for that property to appear). To reset just do a select all (and filter if needed) then reset the property.

Nice. I will research that. Thanks.

Alternatively, select just the staves you want to hear back for the next playback run, then play back.
