I’m working on comping field noise ambience. It would be very helpful to retain the visuals of the layer I’m comping to cover without hearing those visuals. As SLP is designed, the visual “brightness” is tied to the volume of a layer. Obviously this is a use for time markers. Nevertheless, this is something I’ve wanted the entire time I’ve been working with SL. Maybe I’m missing something?
I believe the principle of SL is what you see is what you hear, that’s why muted layers are not visible.
BUT I agree with you that being able to still see a muted layer is very very useful in certain situations!
I think it would be great to have that as an option, but still retain the current behaviour.
If we could have a button to toggle the visibility of muted layers that would com in very handy!
Indeed I agree
and we users should be able to arrive a workarounds
that said, I have always wanted the functionality of seeing what I’m editing without being required to hear it…I suppose we get used to working that way in DAWs so it’s somewhat second nature ![]()
thanks for the comment Henrique ![]()
Totally! And specially since we have so many tools with “sample from all layers” option, it makes total sense that we can see layers without hearing them!
Always a pleasure buddy!
very important option!!!
