Feature Request: Mute/Solo per Export Job in Export Audio Mixdown

Hi Steinberg,

I’d like to request a workflow improvement for Export Audio Mixdown in Cubase/Nuendo.

The Export Queue is great for handling multiple formats, but it doesn’t support exporting multiple mix variations in one pass.

In real-world use, clients often require:

  • Full mix

  • Instrumental

  • Karaoke

  • Vocals only (for remix/DJ use)

  • Backing track versions

Currently, we have to manually change mute/solo states between each export, which is time-consuming and error-prone.

Suggestion:

  • Add mute/solo control in the channel selection section of the export window, OR

  • Allow the Export Queue to store channel states (mute/solo) per job

This would let us export multiple mix versions and formats in a single queue.

I believe this would be a major workflow improvement for many users.
