Muted events colour - anything but white!

Unless I’m mistaken, muted events are white, and this cannot be changed.

White events are highly distracting.

A more sensible option is to make them dark grey - as is normal in other DAWs.

Thanks!

You can reduce Event Opacity in Preferences > Event Display. If you use a dark background in the project zone (=default), you can set any mixed tone between white (E.O. max) and background dark (E.O. min).

Hey ASM, thanks for the input.

This almost solves the issue, but creates other issue at the same time. Adjusting the opacity affects all events, not just muted ones, which throws out all the colour choices I’ve made and makes gridlines visible through events. Moreover though, the relative brightness balance between muted and non-muted events is preserved. This is the main issue I’m trying to solve with the feature request: Non-muted events should catch the eye, muted events shouldn’t.

Thanks again for your input though!

I agree that an independent color setting for muted events would be optimal.

Not sure how this is overlooked!
