I tried to mute a track and everytime I tried the red light would come back on and the track would play. This just happened out of nowhere. I closed the program and restarted but the same thing happened. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

Which “red light” do you mean, please? Mute button is yellow M in Cubase.
In general, is there any Mute automation?
I does sound like you may have written some automation to the track.

Maybe an insert with side chaining set wrong, pre fade sends?
