How can I mute microphones hooked up to my MR816x? Simply lowering the gain does not do it. I must be mising something and I cannot find it in the user’s manual.

if the monitor button in cubase isn’t on then it’s muted regarding the signal going to your monitors.There are no hardware mutes on a mic pre’s, that’s what desks are for 
and cubase is your desk if your all in the box.

Ah, I do not use Cubase. For the work I do there is a DAW that works better for me. Thanks for your reply though.
