MXL and notehead colors

Do note head colors get exported to MXL (from Dorico 4)? Mine is not working as read into Musescore. Somehow I thought they did in Dorico 3.5, but I could be mistaken…

If you mean XML, no… I don’t think color is part of XML at all.

Thanks. I just verified that 3.5 didn’t send color information to MXL (or the uncompressed XML).

Perhaps I changed the color in one of my MXL files, and forgot…

MusicXML itself is certainly capable of describing colours for items in the music, but (if memory serves) we don’t export any colour overrides in the MusicXML files we produce in Dorico.

Here’s hoping it’s added, maybe version 7! (probably not a big priority…)
