I imported an mxl file from Finale 27. I had successfully printed parts from the Finale file, but when I opened the mxl in Dorico 6, one part was missing an entire block of rests. I disabled multi bar rests, and in the part, the bar lines are compressed. I’m not able to insert any rests into those empty bars, not in the score nor in the part. There is music written in other parts below, not shown in the screenshot. Can’t find a solution in the manual.
Could the first rest in Flute 1 have the Ends Voice property set? You could also try in note input mode with the caret visible, Shift-B, rest, Enter.

Wow. It took a bit to find that setting, but yes, that was the problem. Thank you so much!!

It must have been a glitch in the mxl file, because that was the only part with this issue.
