My computer hangs when i install driver v1.7.3

i recently purchased UR22. i tied to install the driver from the installation cd but the system crashed few times after driver installation.(Windows XP SP3). I downloaded version 1.7.3 which is said to be compatible with XP SP3 but still the same problem persisted.
Can the support team send me the compatible driver for XP SP3? Hoping for the best solution from the experts. thank you.

Did you register the device with Steinberg?

I have registered my hardware with the serial no.

After logging onto “My Steinberg”, click the “My Support” tab in the header, and fill out the form.
