My first large orchestral scoring session with Dorico - huge success!

Just wanted to say how thrilled I am to be using Dorico exclusively for all things notation in my workflow now. My latest scoring session went amazingly well. So well, I wanted post here and say “Thank You” to the Dorico team. Five years ago I wouldn’t have dreamed of writing, orchestrating, and preparing parts for a deadline driven score all by myself, but Dorico has allowed me the freedom to do just that.

My score for “Grounded” starring Robert Taylor and Radha Mitchell has about 75 minutes of music. I recorded 25 minutes of this score with the Budapest Scoring Orchestra (60 players) in just three hours. Insane! In addition to the incredible musicianship of the players and the conductor, I can attribute much of the proficiency of this scoring session to the beautifully laid out parts and the amazing “cues” feature in Dorico.

The film doesn’t come out for a few months but the soundtrack is streaming everywhere now. Check it out if you feel like it. Thanks!

Congratulations, and well done!
