Here it is! The final version of my marching band template. Version 2.0! HUGE changes were made. Please read the .txt file before using the template! There will NOT be anymore updates to this template unless I come across something major (which there shouldn’t be any major problems). Huge shoutout to Aaron Sherbert from the Steinberg forums for helping me with getting the score layout to be just right! If you have any problems or suggestions, please feel free to comment below and I’ll try to get the problems fixed, and I’ll think about adding your suggestions to the template. The link will be available forever! If I do make changes, I’ll create a new post and I’ll try to remember to delete the previous post. For all you marching band arrangers and directors, enjoy!
Wow, Thank you for uploading this.

The first thing I see on opening the file is a page override, which needs to be corrected. Your First page template is also pretty messed up. The text frames on page template all overlap, which makes it difficult to edit them. Ideally, I like to adjust the numerical values in the spin boxes of the text frames to make them exact values; then they align perfectly.
You need to assign proper paragraph styles to your various text objects in the headers and footers, rather than just adjusting the Default Text style.
Wanting to be helpful, not throwing shade, but calling it “perfect” is a pretty high bar. ![]()
Also, you have a zillion “hidden beats”:
To fix this, Shift-M to set a meter, then Shift-B, -1000 or whatever, and delete the time signature. This will give you a reasonable number of beats in the blank space.
OK? I did it like that on purpose. I’m sorry, but I’m not changing that kind of stuff.
That’s fine. It’s wrong and you should fix it if you want it to be a widely-used template for others. I’m out.
This is deja vu all over again.
When I open your project, I get this:
This playback template is not among the files you provided… can you post this file? Thanks!
Hey, why mess with “perfection?” ![]()
