My keyboard is triggering Groove Agent, but its not being seeing my cubase (11 or 12)

I am using an MPKmini keyboard.
I load up Groove Agent SE5, using the PLUS sign

. If i hit the snare pad in GA with my mouse, ,

  • I hear the snare sound.
  • The Level meter in the cubase mixer shows activity.

i don’t remember doing anything different since i last loaded the project (which has been 3 weeks),

  • i’m on an iMac M1 desktop.
