I was using Cubase 13 from June 2023. normaly everything worked well. Then I changed the Midi keybord, from Clavinova CL920 to Yamaha P85, and I lost midi signal. Now when I tried to go back to Clavinova, there is also no midi signal.
When I enter MIDI PORT in Studio, I see that midi is active, but I can’t do nothing. I tried to inset new midi tracks and record and play, nothing is happening.
I have ICON Midi port (midi to usb) cable, the led light on the cable is on, and when I connect the midi keybord to computer there is a sound, to me it’s the sign that it is alive.
Please, if anyone could help I would be so grateful.
Double-check, the MIDI Port is not in use as Mackie Control Input, or Track/VST Quick Controls input.
Could you attach a screenshot of the Preferences > MIDI > MIDI Filter, please? By default, only the SysEx data are filtered out for both, the Record and Thru.
Open Studio > Studio Setup > Mackie Control, Track Quick Controls and VST Quick Controls. Ensure, the MIDI Input Ports of these devices are not set to USB MIDI Interface, please.
This is the cable, same thing as I used with other keyboard, now I don’t have signal with other keyboard too when I swap it back. It’s interesting though the device is active in Midi ports window.
I tried to plug in MINILAB 3 controller, and there it sends signal in Cubase, so I guess there is no problem with settings in hardware, just with those two keyboards that are my main tool for playing and recording. Could it be the cable, it doesn’t seem to be dead, as the devices are active in MIDI ports.
