I would like to share my new SMuFL music font family: The Arranger.
Designed for Dorico and other SMuFL-compatible notation software, The Arranger font brings the lively personality, warmth, and unmistakable charm of traditional hand-copied music to modern digital scores. Inspired by classic Broadway engraving and West Coast copyist traditions, it offers a distinctive handwritten, arranger-style appearance while remaining fully compatible with modern notation workflows.
The family includes 2 SMuFL-compliant music fonts — The Arranger and The Arranger Lighter — plus 10 handwritten text fonts, with more than 1,400 music symbols, offering expressive and practical alternatives to established music fonts. The standard version, The Arranger, provides a bold and confident handwritten look, while The Arranger Lighter offers a softer, more open, and refined copyist appearance, both combining handcrafted character with modern engraving precision.
