imho the changes for the tracks/folder background color in the arrangement window makes it harder differentiate especially in large session with nested folders. N14 was way better on the eyes in this regard. One could see the folder structure right away.
Hopefully there’s will be an option to choose beweteen a neutral background color like in N14 and the new color scheme at some point.
This is probably interfering with your setup and use of colour, but: If you chose different colours for the folders, that would maybe help? Then the folder colour would also “spread” its colour to sit beside the tracks inside it, and you would get a much clearer overview.
I’m also having a hard time because this change has made the folder hierarchy really difficult to see.
I get that some people suggest just changing the colors, but I don’t see how that helps when you have a deep hierarchy. If you sandwich a dark color in between, it makes it hard to tell what color the level below is when the folder is closed.
Maybe you could make it work if you really messed around with the color scheme, but having to go out of my way to adjust something I never had to worry about before doesn’t feel like an improvement to me.
I strongly hope they add an option to revert to the original background color.
I have a question on the same topic, but slightly different.
I also try to separate folders using different colors, but for some reason the events take on the folder color instead of using the track colors (default track color).
