N15 Stereo track stuck in Combined Panner mode

The stereo panner options disappear when I route a stereo track to a 5.1 group and then reset the routing back to a stereo group. I would expect to be able to select “Balance Panner” and “Combined Panner” again as usual, but the options disappear and the track remains in “Combined Panner” mode. Am I missing a way to change this somewhere, or is this a bug?

Normal stereo track (routed to a stereo group):

Stereo track that was routed to a 5.1 group and is now routed to a stereo group again:

Might be due to the obvious reason that there is more data to take into consideration when switching back from a multichannel output format than the overly simple “Balance” device is able to work with …?

Disclaimer: I’m still on NU12 and NU14, not NU15.

(Sidenote: Who is actually using “Balance” in Real Life regularly? It means losing information … 8-/… )

The same here, too.

Thanks for your answer but I don’t think that it has something to do with the data because on a normal stereo track you also can switch between combined and balanced even if you have used the combined panner already. so that should make no difference in the programs behavior I guess? I think it’s a bug.
