I am loving the new Cantai integration introduced in Dorico 6. It is a game-changer for vocal mockups. However, I am currently working on a project using microtonal music (specifically the standard 24-EDO Stein-Zimmermann system).
Right now, Cantai completely ignores microtonal accidentals. Attempting to force manual MIDI Pitch Bend messages via Expression Maps or Key Editor automation creates audio artifacts, note-glitches, and unnatural vocal transitions.
Could you please coordinate with the Turing Opera Workshop team to bring native microtonal support to Cantai, similar to how HALion natively maps Dorico’s custom tonality systems? This would be highly beneficial for contemporary classical music and traditional non-Western scales.
