NECTAR Keyboard doesn't work anymore in Dorico

Hello everyone,

Starting today, I’ve been having an issue where my MIDI keyboard, a Nectar SE 49, no longer works in Dorico. It works perfectly in Sibelius, as well as in Ableton, for example. I’ve already restarted my PC and Dorico several times and uninstalled and reinstalled the device in Device Manager. No luck! What’s strange is that I can “play” all the instruments in the score. That is, I can hear everything, but nothing is being notated. I’ve been working with Dorico since version 3.5, but now I’m suddenly at a loss. It’s also strange that D.6 shows a message in the bottom right corner saying the audio device isn’t responding. But that’s nonsense, because it is working. The problem also exists in Dorico 5, though without the message in the lower corner. I read something about new Windows MIDI features. Could that be related?

Best regards,

Christoph

EDIT: My other Keyboard (Roland Stage Piano) doesn’t work too…

I found it.. It was the WinRT Midi Checkbox…

Great, I was just about to reply.
I’m using Dorico 6.2 and have a Nectar GXP61 connected via USB, and I haven’t had any issues on Windows 11 25H2 Build 26200.8037, installed on March 10, 2026. Glad you found a solution. :+1:
