Need A More Visible Cue for Missing Plugins

Hi,

I would like to suggest a clearer visual indication for missing plugins.

When opening older or someone else’s sessions, it often happens that some plugins are no longer available. In large projects with many plugins, it can be difficult to quickly locate which ones are missing.

It would be very helpful if Cubase could highlight missing plugins in a more visible way, for example by showing them in red (or any other distinct color) instead of the standard blue. This would make them much easier to detect at a glance.

Cheers

Great idea and sounds like something that would be quick to implement.

Another area that would benefit from this sort of color highlighting is in the output routing. If a track [after drag and drop insertion, say] is routed to the master/stereo out, rather than the submix where it should be 99% of the time, then it’d be nice if it was highlighted and easy to spot.

I would argue that there are quite a few more fundamental and “every-day” things that need fixing first, but since it’s been that way for millenia, who knows..?

Yes, i still can’t figure out why they have not come up with this rather basic feature that has been requested more than once…
Just the other day i had to open up an old session, with 200+ tracks, with missing plugins. Lets just say it wasn’t as much fun as the book “Where is Waldo” to find these missing plugins ! :squinting_face_with_tongue:

If you want that feature request to be heard you can vote for it. Take this thread or any other thread that asks for that feature.

Good idea. I didn’t know that was even possible. Just did.
I’ll invite everyone who reads this and wants such a feature to vote for it as well.

Cheers.
