Hello. I’m using Audiveris to convert a bunch of parts from PDF to MXL, to save tons of time entering the data. I’ve got pretty good at correcting errors in Audiveris to the extent that the data looks all good there. But I’m having weird stuff happen when I import the MXL into Dorico, like this (this section is in 3/4):
I had a similar issue before, and it suggested there was a duplicate invisible bar line in the data, and to delete the preceding bar line. That sometimes works. But sometimes I get things like this when I do that:
So I have two questions. First, are there techniques to figure out just exactly what was wrong with the incoming XML, so I can see if there is something visible in Audiveris (so far everything looks right there)? Second, failing this, are there quick ways to repair the damage in Dorico? I’ve found it really awkward to deal with removing or adding time and then adding the deleted bar lines. I’m sure there are easy ways to do it because Dorico is so powerful, but I have not happened upon them
