I have been setting up a little side studio for songwriting built around my 2025 Rog Strix G614 AMD9955HX laptop. Now I find that the DC port for the laptop has loose connections to the motherboard which is odd as it hasn’t been used since I purchased it. This has got me considering buying a newer laptop while having this one repaired and then just selling it on eBay. Are there any recommendations for windows 11 based laptops that far exceed this laptop’s performance or should I just wait until this one is repaired.
Ok, so last year in trying to get a 2003 piece of software I always use to work on a laptop, I ended up purchasing 3 different laptops. The G614 which has the bad DC port is still in warranty and I am sending it off for repair. Today I discovered one of the other laptops I bought is an Asus G18 G834JZR. It is a 24 core, i9 14500HX with 96GB ram and a 1TB C: with a 4TB D:. I have decided to make this unit my SW studio computer.
