Need to slave to MIDI clock

Cubase doesn’t slave to MIDI clock. I need to slave to MIDI clock. Any workarounds?

I want to “play” a MIDI file with a rhythm as I’m tapping it. Should be an easy way to make a natural-feeling performance (any feedback about that?).

There are hardware synchronisers available that slave to MIDI timecode, and generate a phase locked loop clock to drive your sound card, if that accepts an external clock.
